The Forensic Transport Unit was developed in 1995. This unit responds to the scenes of sudden, violent and unattended deaths to recover, remove and transport the decedent (s) to the medical examiners office for an autopsy. The difference between this service and a typical removal service is that our personnel consists of Law Enforcement and Forensic Specialists. Our personnel are trained in how to approach a crime scene, recover , identify and transport without compromising crucial evidence by mishandling or lack of documentation. We act as a link in the Chain of Custody and are summoned frequently to testify as to all of the above.
